The new Labour codes proposed by the Ministry of Labour & Employment in 2021  it aims  to simplify and modernize India's critical complex labour laws. These codes consolidate 29 central labour laws into four codes: The Code on Wages, 2019, The Industrial Relations Code, 2020, The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, and The Code on Social Security, 2020.¹ ² ³
The effectiveness of these codes lies in their potential to:
- Simplify Labour Laws: By consolidating multiple laws into four codes, businesses or organization can easily comply with labour regulations, promoting ease of doing business.
- Improve Working Conditions: The Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code enhances workplace safety and health and security  of workers working in the organization  and  improve  the. standards,of living  condition  of.  employees.
- Enhance Social Security: The Code on Social Security expands benefits to  the workers, working  on fixed-term employees  or working  on contracts or unorganized sector workers,  to whom. providing social security coverage.
- Boost Industrial Relations: The Industrial Relations Code streamlines industrial dispute resolution,  minimise  conflicts between  management  and workers and promoting harmonious relation  between employer-employee in the organization  which ensures smooth functioning  of organisation  which ultimately  ensure growth  and progress  of the organisation. 
However, the implementation of these codes is still pending,   it the government  responsibility  to monitor  the execution  of this code in the intrest of workers. and their effectiveness will depend on how well they are executed and enforced.⁴
